monday

well, well, well...

i started this as a way to basically do the ready player one thing and learn everything i could about vr and write it all in in notes. but i’ve determined thats not really my goal, plus that method of learning isnt the most efficient, it’s wildly time-expensive, which is a luxury i never really had unless i was on break anyway.

so,
to that end, i’m going to re-do the compendium to get an accurate reading of what exactly is most important to study up on. i know for sure the most important thing is to actually create vr projects myself. i want to focus the website around building vr worlds, so my layout will be changing, the homepage should be focused on those creations and ways to make it easier to make them. the principles of design, the platforms used to create the stuff all seems relevant but i think i should start with just making ish look good... i think ill take note from sims4 and the incredible evironments ive been able to make in there, though they weren’t all amazing, they provide a good basis for composing the elements in a home, coffee shop, park, etc, etc.

my ultimate goal is to do inventionistic work, but before that i want to know what it means to be a great architect, someone that can design anything for anyone, and do a spectacular job.

since january 19th of 2022, this site was created in order to keep track of any and everything I learned about related to VR, but today it is much more about my journey to creating virtual worlds.
as stated in in the homepage,

website and blog -- on how to create vr worlds

//using the knowledge i’m gaining to make a lil blog on the side//

as seen to the left, i currently attend school, architecture school to boot, so time is one of my most valuable resources. when I am not designing my projects in school, i will be adding what i learn to this website. i love designing environments, but I am not quite skilled enough to call myself an architect, and not nearly a vrchitect.

so
to that end, my focuses are to

develop my skill in design and understand the software used to develop them in vr in

the compendiums

compile what i learn into

guides and small blog posts

in order to create virtual worlds of my own,

the dream

and hopefully help a lot of other folk make their own, because honestly, there isnt enough vr content out there in the world yet, and i’m yearning D:
